2013 Jr. Lifeguard Prep Schedule

Miraleste Intermediate School:

T/Th 6:30-7:30pm

ZAP JG Prep classes are designed to help SWIMMERS prepare to take and pass the required 100-yard swim test for the LA County and/or Beach Sports Jr. Lifeguard programs.

These classes are not swimming lessons so it is important that your swimmer meets all the prerequisites before attending their first day.

ZAP has a tradition of making waves of success at the beach during the summer! Our swimmers repeatedly are top performers in the JG programs as well as at the International Surf Festival in August and at a variety of open water competitions throughout the season.

We typically prepare over 75 non-club swimmers annually for the Jr. Guard program and look forward to getting your child ready for JGs next year!

Class prerequisite:

JG Prep class participants must be able to separate from parents easily, swim 50 yards unassisted freestyle, and be able to breathe to the side, on the first day of class. Children who do not demonstrate these skills the first day need to enroll in swim lessons to master those skills before taking this class.
