Come on by... hop in the pool!

Born, Bred, And Water Fed- by Cameron Rys-Sikora
Lifeguards, Waitress, and West Point Cadets,
gathered in this building to see who is best.
Rag-tag group they come together now,
ships they have become, their arms the bow.
Human fish they have evolved, addicted to chlorine odor.
Barracudas, with a pair of Johnson onboard motors.
From block to wall and back again.
Creatures of land, the ancients called men.
Inside this ceramic lined pond they have all changed.
Too late to back down from what is arranged.
The medley music of the buzzer start,
the sensation of mussels falling apart,
gasp for breath, message relayed from the gods.
A new style of freedom, coupled with burning quads.
Dedication to get here, no room for neglect,
small things add up, the butterfly affect.
The 5:30 club, working through tired eyes.
Spectators of the morning moon, and the sunrise
Born, bred and water fed.
Water filled eyes, bloodshot and red.
The hopes and dreams of all those who observe.
Water is where they were born, water is where they will be called to serve.
